Matthew Macklin has served many years in the post-acute care operations and regulation arena in Washington State and throughout the country. He is former President of the Stradajem Connection, a healthcare consulting organization — servicing healthcare and community providers in four states on subjects such as finance, fiscal management, operation efficiency, regulatory compliance, and clinical operation correction.
Matthew’s personal mission of social justice can be seen in his community involvement. He is an active member of several community organizations focusing on addressing social, political, and economic inequity both worldwide and at home.
Past community efforts and clients include:
- The Catholic Campaign for Human Development for the Archdiocese of Chicago: appointed by the late Francis Cardinal George
- Mayor Michael Coleman of Columbus, Oh- on the “Capital Kids Enrichment Program”; focuses on the intellectual growth of K-5 students after school in socio-economically stressed communities in the city
- Rep. Danny K Davis (7th congressional district of Illinois- Downtown Chicago and Near West Side)
- Lima Economic Development Committee
- Board of Directors for the Bradfield Community Center; serving underprivileged youth.
Matthew is a licensed nursing home administrator. He holds degrees in Philosophy- Social Justice and Political Science from Loyola University Chicago, MBA in Healthcare Administration, and a Juris Doctorate (JD). In addition to academic degrees, Matthew is a certified provider of CEUs for multiple healthcare organizations on a variety of topics.
Whether strengthening an organization or repairing a broken one, Matthew has proven ability to recruit and retain team members to educate, motivate, and drive sustainable success.
