Colleen Martinson

Colleen Martinson is a strategic, nonprofit leader who has dedicated her career to creating positive change in the community by working with mission-driven organizations. A proven fundraising leader and advisor, her approach is collaborative and creative with an emphasis on listening and building relationships to achieve transformative results.

Her work has encompassed organizations of varying sizes and missions, from those helping children thrive, like Treehouse and Wellspring Family Services, to protecting access to reproductive healthcare at Planned Parenthood and Pro-Choice Washington, to fighting food insecurity through her work at Ballard Food Bank. She is knowledgeable about raising funds across 501c3, 501c4, and PAC entities.

She credits the many hats she has worn in the nonprofit sphere with giving her a well-rounded understanding of the sector. Before becoming an organizational leader and senior fundraising and communications professional, she was an educator, program manager, and volunteer manager. She has also been a nonprofit board member, volunteer, and donor. She has a deep understanding of how each element of a non-profit organization must work together cohesively to achieve impact. This approach has helped her develop sustainable fundraising strategies that truly work to increase organizational capacity.

Outside of work, Colleen is a voracious reader, likes to paint and write, and enjoys traveling with her wife and son.
